Our parents taught us to care for the environment, and that outlook continues to guide the choices we make today.
Our aim is not only to offer our guests an unforgettable holiday through what we do, but also taking care of the place where we live and work. Last but not least, we hope that many more generations will be able to experience the unique mountain landscape of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site.

South Tyrol Sustainability Seal Level 1
Moseralm holds the South Tyrol Sustainability Label, Level 2. In our kitchen, we use ingredients from South Tyrol and Trentino, among other places, and work with businesses in the region. When choosing materials, we consider where they come from and how they will be used.
We support equal opportunities and training for our team. We also track our energy and water use. The data helps us identify where we can use resources more carefully. When building our new guest room wing, we also used local wood from trees felled by Storm Vaia in 2018.

MEASURES
At Moseralm, we pay attention to how we use energy and materials, where our food comes from, and ways to get around without a car. Below, you can read about the steps we have already taken in these areas.
Less single-use plastic
In some areas of the hotel, we have replaced single-use plastic items with alternatives such as glass or paper, depending on how they are used. We continue to look for ways to reduce our use of single-use plastic.
CAR FREE ECO TOURISM IN ITALY
Thanks to our favourable location right next to the chairlifts (also usable in summer), our guests have the opportunity to explore the Dolomites car free.
All guests also receive a free Guest Pass for the use of public transport in South Tyrol. We also offer e-mountain bikes for hire.

CHARGING STATIONS
Guests have 4 electric charging stations at their disposal. Those travelling by electric car can conveniently "refuel" on site.
REGIONAL AND SEASONAL
We attach great importance to using regional and seasonal ingredients in our kitchen. Many of our products come from South Tyrol and the neighbouring province of Trentino.
Heating with wood chips
We heat our hotel with a wood chip heating system. We buy the wood chips from a company based in Deutschnofen/Nova Ponente in the Eggental Valley.
RECYCLING MANAGEMENT
Separating waste is part of our daily routine. At the hotel, we have separate bins for glass, paper, metal, plastic, food waste and general waste. This allows us to collect each type of waste separately for disposal.
