He returned to the solitude of the Moserschwaige, where even the ‘Moder’ (hay farmers) from the farm and villages below ventured only in the summertime. He quickly fell head over heels for Filomena, a fetching young lass from Ultental who was helping out around the barn. Siegfried soon built a little four-room nest for the couple, who married on 1 May 1952. The little barn had already hosted its first guests by that point. The couple had seven children over the years and continuously built additions to the Moserschwaige.
After many additions, renovations and expansions, and with the help of their respective families, Siegfried’s daughter Monika and her husband Georg Eisath took over the building in 2002. In 2006, the 4-star hotel in Karersee underwent extensive renovations that added the final touches to all it has to offer.
2019 begun the expansion with the new wellness area ,,Dolomiti Mountain Spa" and 14 suites. Michael and Magdalena, Monika's and Georg's children, took over the Moseralm.
Even after almost 60 years, the family continues to make every effort to give its guests the most unique Dolomite holiday experience possible. Because that’s the vision that has inspired the owners of the hotel from the very beginning.

YES, WE’VE GROWN,
BUT WE’RE STILL TRUE TO OUR ROOTS.
