Congratulations Florian!

Our Florian made a sensational 8th place in his first World Cup race.

After the first run, in which Florian was placed on the 18th place, he made a furious second run. He found a perfect line and then in the lower part of the track he made a sensational time to the finish. He dashed up in the top ten, but then he was ousted from the top. At the end he had at his World Cup debut the second best time and reached the 8th place.

Only Ted Ligety succeeded in the second round a better time than Florian. Ligety succeeded with an almost perfect run the jump from the fifth to the first place. Marcel Hirscher could not prevent Ligety’s third World Championship gold and had to settle for second place. Bronze medal went to Alexis Pinturault.
