1. Lake Carezza – our natural jewel
Shimmering from turquoise to emerald green, embraced by coniferous forests and just a six-minute drive from Moseralm Dolomiti Hideaway, Lake Carezza is one of our guests’ most popular excursion destinations. The peaks of the Latemar range reflected in the crystal-clear water make for a much-loved photo motif and have enchanted countless visitors. While Lake Carezza is not one of the classic swimming lakes in the Dolomites, the trail around the lake is beautiful in every season.

3. Lake Braies – surreal beauty
Another breathtaking sight is Lake Braies, which is undoubtedly among the most famous lakes of the Dolomites in South Tyrol. Behind its almost tropical-looking water and the historic boathouse rise the rugged rocks of the Croda del Becco group. Lake Braies is located in the Upper Puster Valley, around a two-hour drive from Lake Carezza. Even so, the journey is well worth it: this oasis in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park offers a spectacle you will not soon forget.

With a journey of around two hours, Lake Dobbiaco is a little more than around the corner, but a visit is truly worthwhile. This Dolomite lake near the Three Peaks Nature Park is, unlike Lake Braies, still somewhat of a hidden gem and considerably less crowded. Here you can enjoy nature in peace, strolling around the water sparkling in every shade of blue and green, while taking in the fantastic views of the Cristallo group. Benches and meadows around the lake invite you to linger undisturbed.

5. Lake Molveno – king of the Alpine lakes
For many, Lake Molveno in Trentino is the most beautiful bathing lake in the Alps. Nestled at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, it offers a new perspective on what are often called the “most beautiful mountains in the world”. As one of the most impressive swimming lakes of the Dolomites, just a short distance from South Tyrol, it captivates with its stunning setting, intense turquoise-blue colour and well-maintained sunbathing areas. It has also been awarded several times as the cleanest lake in Italy.
